Tudor Cisu’s Rising Star

The people who know Tudor Cisu have come to expect great things from him. Still in his teens, Romanian born Tudor Cisu has consistently been winning awards for academic excellence, Latin, Mathematics and Outstanding Scholarship since moving to Syracuse, New York in 1998.

Aside from his academic pursuits, Tudor Cisu has also spent his summers doing volunteer work as a transporter at St. Joseph Hospital Medical Center and tutoring Mathematics.

Now a sophomore at Binghamton University, where he majors in Biochemistry and Mathematics, Tudor Cisu would eventually like to turn his considerable intellect towards medical research on cardiovascular diseases. He already helps in research studies for the Spinal Cord Injury and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory at SUNY Upstate Medical Center as well the Beaumont Bioengineering Research Laboratory at Binghamton University.

Described by a faculty member from the Bioengineering as a “rising star,” Tudor Cisu feels compelled to advance medical research could lead to treatments that would save many lives.
